Stay in compliance with new employees with form W4 and form I9

You just hired a new employee!
Finding the right person to join your team can be a challenging process.
As we explored in our previous article, Investing in the right people, taking the extra time to find an employee who will fit your team culture and ethos is critical to any business and even more important for a small business.
After you have found the qualified candidate who is matched to carry out brand commitment there are a few steps to take to make sure you are in compliance with federal regulations.
Crossing the T’s and Dotting the I’s
On the top of the list for required paper work is that each new employee must fill out a W4 and an I9. The W4 determines tax withholding for the employee and the I9 verifies they are legally eligible to be employed in the United States.
For your convenience we have direct links to the forms for you to print off, have your employees fill out then submit to your payroll department or service provider.
